RAISING RESILIENT BRAINS
A 60 min masterclass with neuroscientist Naianna Robertsson that will help you understand and cultivate emotional resilience and growth mindset in your own personal life and in the development of your little ones
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL LEARN...
In recent decades, we have seen an exciting explosion in our understanding of the mind. We now know that thanks to neuroplasticity (our brain’s ability to change, adapt and grow new neurons based on effort and experiences) traits such as intelligence, emotional regulation, resilience and creativity are not fixed, but ever-evolving mechanisms of the mind.
Trusting in and harnessing our own power to self-architect our brain (and support our children through their own journey of doing so) is what we call having a growth mindset.
Having a growth mindset is more important than ever today. The concept, popularised by psychologist Dr. Carol Dweck, emphasises the belief that intelligence, abilities, and talents can be developed through dedication, learning, and effort. It stands in contrast to a fixed mindset, which assumes that qualities are innate and unchangeable.
Adults and children with a growth mindset approach challenges as opportunities for growth. Instead of being discouraged by setbacks, they see them as stepping stones on the path to achieve their goals. They understand that failure is not a reflection of their worth but an invitation to learn, improve, and try again. Every setback is viewed as a chance to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and ultimately achieve a higher level of mastery. With a growth mindset, individuals are able to embrace new experiences and step out of their comfort zones.
